Wearing my wooden clogs on a wet day

People may consider these more appropriate in the warm seasons, particularly as I'm usually sockless, but I wear these year round.

When you last saw these, the rubber sole had fallen off one side. I considered leaving it off, letting the wood toes wear away, but ended up reattaching it, as I'd like the rubberless heels to wear down further first.

I have added a pair of insoles appropriated from some sneakers, as the heels already have worn down enough that the clogs slip off my feet as I walk. The insoles keep them on my feet.

These are my second pair of wooden clogs. I'm sure you've seen the photos of the first pair, with broken wooden soles but still being worn. I bought these in the late 1970s shortly after the first pair broke in half, but then didn't wear them for years, I kept wearing the broken pair.
