These were the first pair of wrestling shoes I owned, circa 1986 or so. Worn as street shoes, I wore them into the ground, reaired them a bit and wore them more.
The last winter I wore them regularly, I stuffed the soles from an old pair of flip-flops inro them as insoles to cover the by then subsantial sole holes. It actually worked well, my feet were dry and warm walking in snow and rain.
About tht time, I bought another pair, the Asics ones that are now my main barefoot sneakers. But I still liked these, and wore them regularly despite the condition. But a few years ago, the thin rubber soles hardened and crumbled, until finally, there was nothing of them left.
I've tied the straps across the instep, but my toes pop out the front. I need to put better straps across the front to keep my toes hidden inside. I want to be able to wear them again.
