Wearing these 50 year old very durable moccasins today

Shortly after last winter arrived, I decided it would be a good time to wear, and photograph my collection of boots. I decided to add all my high-top and medium high-top shoes and sneakers to that collection.

I'm going to post these photos in segments. This is the second batch, the most recent photos of the boot collection.

Since I'm way behind in putting photos up, I'm not going to comment too much on the individual pair, but if you have questions or comments, I'll try to answer them.

I bought these high top moccasins in late 1972 or early 1973, during the "hippy" counterculture era. I thought they looked cool. The leather is thick and very durable. I did oil them, and wore them pretty much all the time for a year or so (winter and summer), and from time to time since then. They are still watertight.

I'm surprised at how durable the leather is. With all that wear, it isn't even worn thin. But the leather has now become stiff .(Perhaps it needs more oil.) If I wear these without socks, the top of the uppers cuts painfully into my ankles as I walk. I don't wear socks too often, but I have to when wearing these.
