Back to wearing the Pain Shoes, with additional staples into my feet
I'd put these aside for a couple of weeks, only wearing them occasionally as I had several other choices.
Then a friend who turned me on to this filled his sole full of staples for a few hours and I had to compensate. He goes for insertion depths I couldn't begin to tolerate, but I go for duration, can I wear them all day?
Up to now, I never had much stuck in my heel, only a couple of staples through the sole that only hit my heel if I stepped down hard or on a stone. But I had a thought: What about sticking shorter staples, like you use to staple sheets of paper together just through the insole. I could put them through the heel or actually anywhere.
first tried a couple through each heel and found I could wear the shoes for extended periods with the staples stuck into my calloused heels. Not enough to draw blood (usually) but stuck well into my heels Pain but not intolerable, particularly after they had been on for a few hours.
So two staples per heel worked so I kept adding more, in the heel, the midfoot, and even in a couple forefoot areas that the other staples didn't reach.
Now that I'm used to them, I've worn them out shopping, wherever. The pain level is higher on rough surfaces outside, but well within my tolerance.
So if you want something different, give this a try. I will tell you with the staples through the insoles, the pain will depend on how thick and how stiff the insoles are. Good luck being able to do this with thin or soft insoles. But give it a try and post the photos. Just be careful to avoid infection. If you break the skin, apply some disinfectant.
