All That Glitters Here is Gold
Mare Tau Tona- The 'Sea of Gold'. Remains of an ancient beach on the equatorial plain of Omicron Eridani (40 Eridani A). Fourth planet from the prime-orbital sun in this trinary star system. Heavy deposits of exposed gold formations and dust are visible.
Recorded September 20, 2224. Transmitted by the 'Om-Ed LSO' (Omicron Eridani Light Sail Orbiter). The spacecraft was launched from Earth January 29, 2120 and arrived eighty-four years later in 2204. The images were recorded in 2207 and took seventeen years to reach Earth.
The area's name: 'Tau Tona' is in reference to an ancient gold mine on Earth.
As of date of last transmission, orbital patterns of the spacecraft have entered a 'chaos pattern' as a result of the inability to resolve the 'Three Body Problem' in reference to orbital dynamics.
