Bradford Women's Summit
The Bradford & District Women’s Forum exists to support and empower women and women’s groups and organisations to develop their potential, raise their profile and provide a forum for their voice to be heard. We are an umbrella body for local women’s groups and organisations.
We work with all women’s groups and organisations across the Bradford District irrespective of ethnic origin, age, gender, religion, sexuality, disability and cultural differences. We work within the Bradford Voluntary Sector Assembly structure to ensure we are connected to the decision-making processes locally.
The first Bradford and District Women’s Forum Summit Event was held at City Hall on 27th March, 2014. It was organised to provide opportunities for those working with women to become better informed about key areas of work, hear from those delivering services and developing policies affecting women and to network with other organisations. Information sessions covered issues such as Child Sexual Exploitation (grooming), Female Genital Mutilation, Women’s voice and Influence, and Sexual Harassment.
