944 Tackles Byron
SOO 785, 2501-C and SOU 6339 lead train 944 on the way up Byron Hill on February 26, 1978. I've no idea if the Southern SD24 was still owned by Southern or PNC at this point but apparently it was on lease to the SOO from one or the other. I do know none of them made it to Eastern Upper Michigan that I ever was aware of. Credit the late Fran Wiener for catching this rare visitor to the SOO. Chuck Schwesinger collection.
