This old factory once was very important for the community of Aalten, many generations found work here. Built in 1826 it started out as a cotton factory. In 1969 this factory closed and the buildings were used by several smaller companies until 1997 when the authorities decided the place had to be demolished in favor of a housing plan. This never happened and the factory has been abandoned for over 10 years…
