Oyster floats, Miyajima

These floats are used for the floating oyster industry around Hiroshima. Because they are made from styrofoam they begin disintegrating relatively quickly. Unfortunately the water and beaches are full of little bits of styrofoam. It isn't biodegradable and will never disappear- just get smaller and smaller..
