Thruxton Revival 4.4.15
Michael Lyons accelerates out of the Club chicane in a very successful weekend in his ex-Rupert Keegan Hesketh 308E/1. Fastest in practice for the Derek Bell Trophy with a 1:08.392 (124.01 mph), he won the first heat lapping the entire field bar one with a fastest lap of 1:07.648 (125.37 mph). It was a very similar story in heat 2, once again lapping all bar one car although he did not improve on his fastest lap. A very impressive performance and I enjoyed the sight of a F1 car being driven at its limit around Thruxton, something I had not experienced before :-)
