The essence of it - the dark side of being a woman
Women wait. They wait a lot. All their lives. Perhaps the new generation of women don't so much anymore. I hope this woman came to no harm, so many women seem to in my country. It is a sad thing and last week was a very sad week. For all women everywhere really, no matter what age. Actually just sad.
Much is being written about fallen heroes and our unrealistic expectations of them.
I say we don't see them as human but as superhuman.
Their spin doctors and sponsors make sure of that.
We are sold the image of perfection, don't see the dark side beneath, that lies beneath all of us actually.
We are betrayed because we live in a world that has too many facades and masks.
And of course people who are given these masks in the end begin to believe that they are the mask and perhaps lose touch with their decency and humanity.
