feet and legs - very tiny ballerinas

I do love all these images because they have such a feeling of movement about them and mystery. They sum up the spirit of ballet for me, stillness and movement, grace and discipline and joy. And music of course.

 

Let me tell you the secret behind these images: there is a glass door into the ballet studio and the mommies/grannies sit behind the door (tinted glass). I shot a lot of these images from behind the glass door. You can imagine the problems, however I think what the XZ did is just fantastic.
