Wrong turn 2
Imagine my surprise when on last week's photo sessing we came across this shack settlement at the very bottom of Oxford street. The photographs are not the best because I was in a hurry to shoot and run.
What really surprised me were the number of shoes on the roof and clothing. Why, I wondered?
A man in an orange shirt appeared from nowhere, very friendly and we engaged in conversation. I asked whether he lived there and he replied that he did. I expressed my amazement as people there have no water or toilet facilities. "Oh", he said "the man up the road gives us water from his tap". The toilet issue got a shrug. "And where do you watch soccer", I asked. "At the shebeen (local bar)" was his reply.
