Kingfisher
It will soon be time to hopefully catch up with my local pair at a small site I use. During the Winter they spend a large amount of time away along the rivers, and drains, only rarely calling in to check on their favoured nesting site. Some years they manage two, or even three broods, but only one last year, because of disturbance by the local fox family, and Badgers trying to dig them out through the chalk. That's nature, but they have many more suitable breeding locations close by, Suffolk.
