Hagerty Shape

This picture meets this weeks requirements of shape because the bowls and measuring spoons make smooth geometric shapes, while the shadows tend to form more organic shapes. I took this photo by placing three different sized serving bowls on top of each other and also sitting the varied measuring spoons on the inside. My final photo was taken by placing the objects on a flat surface, then I used my phone flashlight to shine on the side in order to get the shadows. When I edited this photo, I bumped the contrast up to enhance the shadows, but then I turned the brightness down a little. The strengths of this photo are the strict outlines and many varied shapes. I like that by using the shadows on the sides of the bowls, your eyes are tricked on how deep the bowl actually is. The weaknesses of this photo are how some of the spots on the photo are grainy and you have the glare from the light on the side. If I could change one thing I would have like to experiment more with the organic shapes.
