Shokat Khan, 20, an Afghan national, said he was hit on the head with a revolver during a beating by Bulgarian police. He and his group of 10 migrants encountered the police after crossing the border from Turkey near the village of Shtit. He was also struck on the leg and hand and appeared to have a broken finger.
