Andong Masks

These are two of the traditional masks associated with Andong. They're used in the local mask dance. The one on the left is the Scholar. The masks are constructed so that they can change expression. If the dancer tilts his head forward, the mask seems to frown. If he tilts it backward, the mask seems to smile. These are from the Hahoe Mask Museum.
