Wrap Around Guitar

This T-shirt is embellished with two other pieces of fabric, machine stitching, and hand embroidery. Using the silhouette of my own electric guitar, I made my own body and neck. The body is an outline of amps and instruments on a dark stage along a skyline. The neck is an extension into the sky of rock stardom, much like the mother of pearl in lay on most necks. They are attached with a zig-zag stitch in contrasting colors of orange and blue. I ran five green lines instead of six from the headstock on the back of the shirt to the front of it. These represent guitar strings as well as musical notation. I embroidered a treble clef where the nut would be, and musical notes all along the neck. A few can be seen between the base of the neck and the bottom horn. The over all design wraps around the shirt and is positioned like an electric guitar player would wear the instrument.
