Expectation Effect

The mass effect series is known for their dynamic choice system. Being an example of the Hawthorne Effect, the players made choices that they felt would change their environment and alter their experience. What disappointed players with the third game's ending, was the lack of choices weight. Instead of the perceived Hawthorne effect, a placebo encounter occurred leaving a bitter feeling.
