Yellow-fronted barbet (Psilopogon flavifrons)

The Yellow-fronted Barbet is a bright green, fruit-eating bird found only in Sri Lanka. It lives mainly in humid tropical rainforests, evergreen mountain forests, and also in tree-rich gardens up to the highlands. Usually it stays quietly hidden high in the treetops, where it is more often heard than seen because of its steady, rhythmic call.
