Cathedral Effect

Here is an example of the Cathedral Effect in use at the Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon.

 

Specifically, this is a study center on the campus. The ceiling is nice and high, while glass windows cover the surrounding area which allows for natural light. These all work together to create a place that's both peaceful, open, and non-stressful.

 

Many times when I need to study or create something, I try to find places like these. Another option I use is my outside balcony at our apartment.
