Apollo Landing Sites

This is a representation of the landing sites of the NASA Apollo Landers. It roughly indicates where the landing sites are situated.

The picture itself is a Full Moon taken by me (David Blanchflower) on the 4th March 2015.

The precise Lunar coordinates for each landing site are as follows:

Apollo 11: 0.67408 N, 23.47297 E. Mare Tranquillitatis.

Apollo 12: 3.01239 S, 23.42157 W. Ocean of Storms.

Apollo 14: 3.64530 S, 17.47136 W. Fra Mauro.

Apollo 15: 26.13222 N, 3.63386 E. Hadley-Appennine.

Apollo 16: 8.97301 S, 15.50019 E. Descartes Highlands.

Apollo 17: 20.19080 N, 30.77168 E. Taurus-Littrow.

 

Apollo 14 landed at the site intended for the unsuccessful Apollo 13.
