Figure-ground relationship

In this image the viewer first sees the figure of batman on a white horizon. Upon further inspection the viewer sees the jokers face in the negative of the image. These two figures work together to make a strong boundary of figure and ground. This makes both images more visible and the image as a whole more memorable.
