Connections

I wonder how many people in Australia have realized that their bridge looks like this one in Astoria:) The Hell Gate Bridge (for trains) opened in 1916 and was the inspiration for the design of the more famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. New York City bridges have taught me a great deal about history. In addition to connecting places, they are often a "bridge" to the past.
