C&O SD40 7511 leads a Westbound Curtis Bay extra through the interlocking at HX tower in Halethorpe, Md.. Engineer John Polios hams it up for the photo by leaning out the cab window. This was the first roll of film I shot after purchasing my first 35mm camera. I was still getting used to the camera at the time as for the train being so close to the edge of the frame.
