seeded sandwich bread
Recipe used: Seeded Sandwich Bread (661)
While Meg made scones, I baked fresh bread to use for egg salad sandwiches at the tea we held for Grandma's 80th birthday. I was a little afraid the bread wouldn't come out--it took twice as long to rise as usual, but it came out plump and soft as fresh bread should be. Mom keeps her flours in the freezer, so I think the dryness of the flour and its temperature were to blame for the extended rising time.
