Report from a paper of the time.....A PETITION having been presented to the Lord Ordinary officiating on the Bills, at the instance of Mrs. Isabella Sawers Galloway or Benny, widow of the deceased Robert Benny, sometime Chemical Manufacturer at Underwood, near Denny, and thereafter residing at 5 Bright's Crescent, Newington, Edinburgh, Mrs. Alison Margaret Benny or M'Jannet, wife of John Douglas M'Jannet, residing at Park Place, Stirling, the said John Douglas M'Jannet, and Leonard Gow, Shipbroker in Glasgow, accepting Trustees of the said deceased Robert Benny, for Sequestration of the Estates of the Deceased GAVIN RAE, sometime Glass Merchant in Glasgow, thereafter Merchant there, his Lordship of this date, 19th December 1879, granted Warrant for citing Alexander Rae, Plumber in Glasgow, John Henry Milne Park, Glass Merchant, Glasgow, and Adam Gossman, Property Valuator and Factor in Glasgow, as the accepting and surviving Trustees and Executors of the said deceased Gavin Rae, acting under his Trust Disposition and Settlement, dated 20th May 1874, and recorded in the Books of Council and Session the 26th day of April 1879, to appear in Court on the seventh day next after citation if within Scotland, and on the twentyfirst day next after citation if furth of Scotland, to show cause why Sequestration should not be awarded; of all which Intimation is hereby given.
