Marking Mumia's birthday in Philly
On April 24, Mumia Abu-Jamal's 72nd birthday, activists held a protest in front of DA Larry Krasner's office to point out his failure to win justice for Mumia. Organized by Mobilization4Mumia and endorsed by many organizations, the event was the first of planned weekly protests at Krasner's office.
After several speakers, the participants marched to an inside gathering that featured dinner, speakers, poetry, a film and sharing a birthday cake.
