Stagecoach 18047 Withdrawn
Whenever I looked into the depot from the bridge I never realised the road to the adjacent Network Rail compound was accessible, until I went with another enthusiast. Although it appears to technically be public land, the NR people don’t want you there when their vans are driving up and down due to the limited clearance, so it’s probably for the best that I avoided it for all that time!
After the many times I photographed it out on the road, here is what would be my final view of 18047, withdrawn and parked in the scrap line at Lincoln depot. It is seen along with 17730 behind, plus 18042 visible through the windows. 18042 must’ve been withdrawn after an accident as it had a particularly mangled front.
