Dwarf Ginseng @Scott's Run Natural Preserve, McClean, Virginia

Panax Trifolius

A Native Wildflower.

We felt that this was a miniature version of a regular plant - it was really small, about 3-4 inches high from ground. They grow in moist floodplains along stream banks. It is not a commonly seen wildflower in the area, so it was a great find.

Scott's Run Nature Preserve is a great place in the Washington DC area to view Spring wildflowers.
