Spent some hours to make an attempt at making a lith-copy of a film negative, on kodalith film.

 

Procedure:

Exposure time around 4 seconds for a 4/5 copy (durst enlarger 250 watt bulb, 80mm f 16)

Need to develop under inxpection, development time around 2-3 minutes on kodak d8 diluted 1-4. Have to pull it at the right time, or all of the film will go black.

 

This creates a positive copy, this is again contact copyed on another sample of kodalith film (could possibly try other high contrast film). Exposure for this was 19 seconds, 50cm height, 80mm lens f4, durst 805 250 watt (for contact copy light). Development time 3-4 minutes in diluted lith enlarger. Lith enlarger in tray seems to loose efficiency with time, so also need to visual inspect here.

 

Goal here is to make a negative that would be possible to print with a silk-print technique, this needs a highcontrast 1-bit picture.
