Zap Comix No.4 was conceived as an all out attack on decency and limits with intentionally extreme and disgusting content. The first edition (now an expensive collectors item) sold out immediately in Berkeley California. The second edition (source of this image) was banned, prosecuted, and convicted of obscenity in several jurisdictions. Eventually went through about 15 editions with hundred of thouands of copies sold. Purchased from a furtive street vendor on Hollywood Boulevard in the 1970s.
One of the more "family oriented" features was "Wonder Wart-Hog Breaks up the Mothalode Smut Ring" - a Superman parody with the over-endowed Lois Lamebrain in the "Lois Lane" role and the under-endowed Philbert Desanex / Wonder Wart-Hog in the Clark Kent / Superman role.
In the first panel, the top heavy Lois Lamebrain dreams of marrying Wonder Wart-Hog while being leered at by "uncool" Philbert Desanex.
