GWR tank engine 813 on the Severn Valley Railway
Former Great Western Railway tank engine 813 on a Martin Creese photo charter on the Severn Valley Railway on Tuesday November 8th 2016. The steam engine had just been restored and repainted and this was one of its first public outings on the line following the SVR Season Finale Steam Gala two days earlier. The weather was cold and dull but the lineside was nice and autumnal which made up for the lack of sunshine. Just in case anyone thinks I am about to be run over, the train was actually reversing away from me. The photograph was taken near Trimpley reservoir in Worcestershire.
