Photos from a Southern Fire Exchange field tour in the Apalachicola National Forest. November 4, 2014. The free field tour took participants to seven locations within the Apalachicola National Forest to learn about several innovative ecosystem management and restoration programs. Experts will discussed longleaf pine management and restoration, Bobwhite Quail and Bachman’s Sparrow management, wetland restoration, Striped Newt restoration, and Gopher tortoise habitat management.
