SHIPtember 2017 Days 4-10
A hot mess.
I built the port side prong first mainly to see how the hell to do it. Since it hinges on the outer edges, the inner edge increases in distance as it travels aft. I had to figure out what I was dealing with physically because my maths are not strong. Once I built it, I then figured out how to attach it to the frame. Mixel joints for the goddamn win!
Anyways, I also wanted the thing to look busy with contrasting color. Never mind the port side with the white name (BTW the good ol' Captain Tayback painted the name Vera on the other side there.) I'll rebuild that side this week. The closer side with the 33 is the one I'm pleased with. The other side became WAY too busy. I toned it back a bit for the starboard and feel it's pretty much right on target for what I intended.
I also wasn't intending to use yellow, but Kiba insisted. I'm glad she did because I think it works well with the orange and the little hits of dark yellow. The fuselage will be mostly DBG.
