T's sister J is finishing her senior year with a biochem degree, we are all so proud of her. J has shown, throughout the last four years that she has a stellar sense of humor.
Tonight, when her brother wouldn't "give her attention" and get off the phone-he was talking to his girlfiiend-she sent him this picture.
This is a Blastula. It is the anus. It is apparently the first thing formed in the cellular process of reproduction. J informed me that some species form the mouth first, but the human species forms the anus first.
Go figure.
J's present to T, this holiday season, will certainly be interesting. I'm going to go now and laugh my blastula off, as I regularly do, because of my kids.
