Peeking

Peeking from a behind a fallen branch, a brown anole (Anolis sagrei) assesses potential mates and rivals in the area. I like that they are aggressive insectivores in my garden, but they also aggressively compete and have displaced other niche denizens including green anoles, day geckos, and skinks.
