Findlater Castle Ruin
Findlater Castle is the old seat of Findlater and Seafield. Sitting on a 50 ft high cliff overlooking the Moray Firth on the coast of Banff and Buchan.
The castle remains that are still there are 14th century rebuilding.
Mary Queen of Scots sent an army in 1562 to besiege the castle, which was held against her by John Gordon of Findlater.
The castle is a scheduled monument.
