The Estate of Prince Kurakin, Penza Region, Russia
The estate of Prince Kurakin, one of the oldest and most important families of Russia, was built in the XVIII century prince. He raised with the help of their peasants palace and park ensemble "Nadezhdino" on the river Serdoba, temples in honor of Alexander Nevsky and St. Nicholas. The land on which the estate was restored, were donated to him by Peter I in 1700 "for services to the King and Fatherland."In his three-storey palace was a beautiful garden in the English style area of 100 hectares, planted with maples, lindens, oaks and fruit trees. In the XIX century in the state rooms of the palace contains valuable artifacts of bronze objects, Bohemian glass, French porcelain, vases and other items, but later valuable collections were destroyed by fires in 1905 and 1927.
