Garfield Peak Panorama

A cloud pushing over the the ridge of Garfield Peak, on the south edge of Crater Lake, Crater Lake National Park.

My friend Bob and I attempted to visit Crater Lake this day only to be stopped at Steel Visitor Center due to snow drifts. The park had received 22 inches of snow the previous two days accompanied by 60 mile per hour winds. The end result was snow drifts up to 12 feet tall blocking the road to the rim. Due to time limitations, we could not snowshoe up and over the ridge to see the lake.

Photo taken from Steel Visitor Center. Seven shot panorama stitched in Lightroom.
