Was am Morgen für Verdruss sorgte, ließ sich am Nachmittag problemlos umsetzen. Am 17. Oktober 2021 verkehrte das eigentlich mit Sandwich-Bespannung vorgesehene Regionalzugpaar zwischen Kempten und München nur mit einer 218, da die andere Lok ein technisches Gebrechen aufwies. Bei der Rückfahrt als RE 57588 war dann die 218 414 führend. Bei Aitrang konnte ich die Leistung aufnehmen. Die Kuh labte sich bei der Durchfahrt völlig ungerührt am Wasserspender, ihr war natürlich nicht bewußt, dass die Zeit der lokbespannten Regionalzüge im Allgäu unweigerlich ablief und ab Fahrplanwechsel Geschichte war...
What caused annoyance in the morning was easily realized in the afternoon. On 17 October 2021, the regional train pair between Kempten and Munich, which was actually planned with a sandwich formation, ran with only one 218, as the other locomotive had a technical problem. On the return journey as RE 57588, 218 414 was leading. At Aitrang I was able to capture the service. The cow was not bothered while drinking from the water dispenser, of course she was not aware that the time of locomotive hauled regional trains in the Allgäu was coming to an end and was history after the timetable change...
