Edges of autumn
I dedicate this to my talented and wonderful Flickr friends..whose beautiful work it is my joy to celebrate and gaze on everyday..we learn from each other, we inspire each other..we share parts of ourselves with people we may never meet, but with whom we share an unspeakable precious gift from God..the ability to create, recognize and rejoice in beauty. We are all so different and our uniqueness is so wonderful and fascinating. I never tire of wandering through it..so often AMAZED at the treasures from your imaginations.
I'm a bit on my soapbox about this because I believe that "this thing of ours" as Tony Soprano would say, works best when we applaud each other's efforts and build each other up. When we don't, it doesn't work so well.
I have to remind myself daily that I am here to GIVE comments more than to get them...that looking at the work of my friends and rewarding them is more important than having them see and reward mine.
To me that's what this thing of ours is about..and I have some of the best Flickr friends on the planet.
Thank you..for being who you are..I'm blessed to have you.

The photo: taken Sunday at the edge of the stream in my backyard..it's full of dead leaves right now and I'll clear them out eventually, but meantime, very fertile ground for photos!
