Enter my door
One of my favourite shots is this woman selling flowers at the entrance of the Ali Ben Youssef Medersa museum, once a koran school in the 14th century.
‘You who enter my door, may your highest hopes be exceeded’ reads the inscription over the entryway to the Ali ben Youssef Medersa, and after almost six centuries, the blessing still works its charms on visitors. Founded in the 14th century under the Merenids, this Quranic learning centre was once the largest in North Africa and may have housed as many as 900 students. It remains among the most splendid one.
