False Iris / Neomarica caerulea

The false Iris has very ornamental foliage, arranged in a fan. The blue flowers are large and beautiful, but they are not very durable. Flowering can last year-round, but is more abundant in spring and summer.

 

Native from Brazil and South America, they should be planted in full sun or semi-shade, in fertile soil and enriched with organic matter, with regular watering. Appreciates the cold. Multiplied by division of plant.
