I'm an avid photographer and animal lover living in San Francisco.

I run a pet photography business--aptly named Mark Rogers Photography-- for pets and the people they own in the Bay Area

In my spare time I volunteer for an organization here in the city called Give a Dog a Bone (GADAB). It's run out of the SF municipal animal shelter and is dedicated to custody dogs mired in the legal system who fall outside the shelter's normal volunteer dog program.

GADAB provides a better quality of life for these dogs. Many of them have been been abandoned, abused or made to fight. We offer them physical, behavioral, mental, and emotional stimulation.

I began photographing the GADAB dogs I work with with an eye toward making their story known and to prove that, despite their often heart wrenching stories, these animals can still show incredible resiliance and a love for just being dogs.
