Madame Decadent born Katia Di Stefano in Florence in the 1983. From the most tender age uses the graphical limbs like way to escape from a situation of uneasiness, also familiar, than undoubtedly bring her to its predisposition for expressive choices sometimes of one, nearly disturbing, shattering violence. The fantasy and the design in particular become the necessary instrument to its survival and soon they demand their role like totaling passion. The choice to attend the institute of art of Florence "Porta Romana" is nearly obliged and here she form the concept of discipline, rigor and dedication that becomes a second nature for the artist. In these years she learns the use of ancient and traditional techniques, arriving to master them also on various media. In these years also she joins a troupe like action painting performer. She perform in numerous tuscan theatres, but she is not limited to these, carrying her voice and her colors also in city contexts. Completed this cycle of studies/experiences, the hunger of acquaintance bring her to be confronted with totally new techniques and media and so she join the “International School of Comics” of Florence. Here she meets the one who became his mentor, as well as friend, Gianni “Gipi” Pacinotti. How much she earns in these years, learning to know and to use the modern techniques too, allows to her to find the trait d'union and points of friction between modern and classic and therefore to know to take advantage of both, creating contrasts and harmonies. During these years, encouraged and promoted from her tutors, she continues the experience as action painter and moves her performances in premises and artistic manifestations.

The infatuation begins, then become passion, for the tattoo and the body becomes territory of conquest for this new demon. An other fundamental encounter in the formation of the artist is that one with Emiliano “Doc” Marchetti, tattoo artist and owner of “LaCavern of the Tortures” tattoo shop in Arezzo and president of the ATPP (association of professionals tattooers and piercers). Their relationship is soon transformed from commercial, to a professional collaboration and so already from the 2001 she start also the experience in the tattoo. Still the tattoo lead her to Rome, where for a short time she works in the “Psycho Tattoo” shop. The experimentationand the graphical and pictorial production does not stop in these roman years and she establishes also one collaboration with the review “A di Anna” like illustrator. Some amateur of her works begin to commission her pictures and also her passion for the photography begins to give fruits. Her works are exposed in various underground spaces in Rome and she is engaged like fotoreporter for some "Female Cut" events. Today, in addition to curing the art column for the lifestyle journal “Suitcase Magazine”, she has focused again in the tattoo and she is realizing some set of tables and she is increasingly in demand for her live painting performances. Obviously she has not still never deposed the paint-brush…
