There's always an abundance of talent and imagination in Dan's shots. Whether it be his amazing automobile shots, the landscape that surrounds them, or his street portraits, there is always a certain inventiveness and suprise waiting in the capture. Of course, all of that wouldn't mean much if there also wasn't a healthy degree of soul present, but when one looks at Dan's work, it's easy to see that it always is. I can't think of anyone who captures the American automobile in a more interesting way. Dan has a way of taking advantage of each scene he sees and composing a shot that captures that scene in a beautiful and rich way. Of course he doesn't just shoot cars... that's what attracted me to his work at first, but he is a great and well rounded photographer that is able to truly capture the sense of an object or a person... it's just great stuff all around!
