I first took up the photography bug in the 1980s when i used to spend a lot of time fishing. I used to see some wonderful photography in fishing magazines of lakes, sunsets, and fish captures, and so I wanted to add photography skills to my fishing skills so i could preserved some of those happy days and nights spent fishing. So I got my first 35mm SLR and slowly learnt all about photography from books and photography magazines. Back then you really did have to think more because you were limited by the amount of frames left on your 35mm film! How times have changed!
Then came digital Photography, something I was reluctant to change over to for a number of years because early digitals were just rubbish and far inferior to film photography. Then in 2002 I got my first digital camera, I then began learning how to use Photoshop and realised I finally had something I always wanted, my own "Darkroom" albeit in Photoshop.
I'm based in Salford and have lived here since I was born. Much of my photography is and was about Salford, but taking photos of streets and buildings has diminished somewhat. My first love is and still is sunset and sunrise photography, landscapes and water shots.
