Imagery and photography were a new direction starting October 2017. At that time I picked up a very used and inexpensive Nikon D700 and some used Nikkor glass including the 180mm f/2.8. My parents would always talk about the birds they saw in the backyard, but now in advanced age, they don't get about much. So despite my other interests in portraits, sports, and landscape I decided to bring the wildlife to them. The last two years have been a fantastic journey. That goodness for the resources today of digital (and now even mirrorless). I am sure that new photographers will be able to pick up vital information more quickly than ever before (in viewfinder histograms). In the coming years I plan to attend some photography classes to improve my abilities as a photographer, learn how to use light, and get the most from my interests. Thanks to all of you here and elsewhere for sharing your images. They are inspiring. Many thanks and look forward to seeing your work and sharing the journey along the way.
