We have adapted the term backpacker, which is a person who travels the world carrying his backpack, to birdpacker, as a person travelling around the Indonesian archipelago to see the beauty of birds and preserve their population in nature.

We are a group of experienced local birders exploring Indonesia’s nature. From 2014, local birders and local birding guides gathered to spread their love for the beauty of Indonesian birds to local people and all over the world.

In 2016, we joined a project called Burungnesia, a local birding guide application. All the data collected in this application will contribute to Atlas Burung Indonesia team’s work to map birds’ distribution in Indonesia.
